We need your help to keep the momentum going - here’s what’s next
April 5 Was Just the Beginning
On April 5, people around the world took to the streets in a coordinated day of action to resist fascism, disinformation, and the rise of authoritarianism. In Vancouver, we rallied outside the U.S. Consulate in collaboration with Toque Off and in solidarity with the Hands Off! movement — and the turnout was powerful.
One person even told us they were on their way to vote in the Vancouver by-election and felt energized by seeing the protest. It was a reminder: people are showing up to protect democracy, not just with signs, but with ballots, with care, and with commitment.
The energy in our Signal group is inspiring and electric.
This momentum is real. We need YOU to keep help us keep it going.

Protest for Democracy – April 26
Just days before the federal election, we’ll gather once again to amplify the call for responsible voting and collective defense of our democratic rights. Held at Vancouver City Hall, this action is about making visible the opposition to far-right politics — and showing that we are many.

New on the Blog: Why 3.5% Matters
To put a fine point on the April 19th protest, in our latest post, we break down the “3.5% rule” — a powerful finding from political scientist Erica Chenoweth, showing that nonviolent movements that engage just 3.5% of the population almost always succeed.
It’s not a magic number — it’s a map. And we’re following it.
