VAF is now on Instagram and Bluesky — Follow and Share
We’re excited to announce that Vancouver Against Fascism is now live on social media. You can now find us on Instagram and Bluesky. These platforms give us new ways to organize, reach more people, and help build a city - and a world - where fascism can’t take root.
We’re building a grassroots antifascist movement rooted in community defense, direct action, and solidarity. We know how fast misinformation spreads. We know how urgent it is to meet people where they are. And right now, many of them are on social media. This is about building a stronger, louder voice that can’t be ignored.
Let’s start with the obvious: yes, we know Instagram is a Meta product. We share your discomfort. But we also know that many of the people we need to reach are there. It’s where friends, classmates, coworkers, and family scroll. It’s where organizers build momentum.
Groups like Indivisible and 50501Movement (groups active and influential in the fight to the south) have used Instagram to share urgent updates, organize events, and build real-world impact. That’s what we’ll be doing too. On our Instagram, you’ll find event info, protest posters, urgent calls to action, and stories from the front lines of local resistance.

Bluesky
We’re also building space on Bluesky, which is quickly becoming a go-to channel for resistance work. With fewer ads, no algorithm, and a community that's a bit more focused on movement-building, Bluesky is a space where ideas spread fast and networks grow strong.
Movements like Hands Off! and True North HQ are already using Bluesky to coordinate, share updates, and strategize in public. That’s our goal too. We’ll be using it for more in-depth posts, threads on fascist activity, behind-the-scenes updates, and connecting with other antifascist groups organizing across Turtle Island.
